The Koscuiszko Foundation honors Piotr Gajewski as the 2016 recipient of the Pioneer Award at their Annual Gala Dinner in Washington, DC.
In 1925, Dr. Stephen Mizwa established the Koscuiszko Foundation in New York City to promote Polish-American intellectual and artistic exchange. Today, the foundation operates chapters in several major U.S. cities, hosting a wide variety of cultural events including a piano competition named for Frederic Chopin.
Each year, the Foundation confers the Pioneer Award to an individual who embodies the Foundation's mission to promote closer between Poland and the United States through educational, scientific and cultural exchanges.
The Kosciuszko Foundation Gala Dinner takes place on November 12, 2016 in the Stateroom of Washington D.C.'s Mayflower Hotel. All proceeds collected at the dinner will support programs and events at the Washington D.C. Center of the Koscuiszko Foundation.
Reservations and more information about the event are available on the Foundation's website.
