On July 12, 2018, the Balearic Islands Symphony offered a special concert at Bellver Castle in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, that was recorded by IB3 Television. The young Mallorcan violinist Francisco Fullana was soloist in Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade after Plato’s Symposium, and partnered with Argentine composer/bandoneonist Juan Pablo Jofre in performing the European premiere of Jofre’s Concerto for Bandoneon and Violin No. 2.

The 2015 Pro Musicis International Award–winner and Guarneri-wielding Francisco Fullana has performed alongside conductors including Sir Colin Davis and Gustavo Dudamel. In addition to his work as a soloist and with chamber ensembles, he has also been active in the advancement of music education with the launch of his Fortissimo Youth Initiative, a series of workshops centered on Baroque performance practice.
