Program 2: Distinct Souls
This program features a variety of distinctive composers showcasing a journey from intimate vulnerability to unbridled excitement. Featuring Sibelius’s striking and rarely heard Malinconia, Brahms’s majestic F Major Sonata, and the noirish Self-Portrait (written for cello, piano and film by the performers), the program concludes with a dazzling array of salon pieces including Canellakis’s virtuosic arrangement of Gershwin’s Preludes.
