The Canellakis-Brown duo celebrates their tenth season with an eclectic program showcasing a journey from intimate vulnerability to unbridled excitement. The recital features Ginastera’s sizzling Pampeana No. 2, Grieg’s masterful Sonata, Sibelius’s heart-wrenching Malinconia, a brilliant recent work by Michael Brown, and an array of dazzling salon pieces including Canellakis’s virtuosic arrangements of Bulgarian folk tunes.

Program 2: BEETHOVEN AND BEYOND
In honor of Beethoven's 250th birthday in 2020, this program celebrates the profound effect the great master had on the cello-piano literature with three masterpieces—Beethoven’s iconic A Major Sonata, Shostakovich’s dark-hued Sonata (which pays homage to Beethoven), and Chopin’s rhapsodic G Minor Sonata.
