Stops on this year's historic tour inlude many prestigious locales in the Eastern United States and on the West Coast.
Eastern venues include Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH), Tuesday Musical Association (Akron, OH), the August Wilson Center for African American Culture (Pittsburgh, PA), Oberlin College (Oberlin, OH), Bridgewater College (Bridgewater, VA), the Porter Center (Brevard, NC), North Carolina A&T State University (Greensboro, NC), Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY), Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA), and Carnegie Hall (New York, NY).
West Coast stops include University of Carlifornia at Chico (Chico, CA) and Cerritos Center (Cerritos, CA).
This year's conductor is Damon Gupton, assistant conductor of the Kansas City Symphony; the program includes works by Mozart, Astor Piazzolla, Guido Gavilán, Tchaikovsky, Wynton Marsalis, Vivaldi and Michael Abels.
Both Harlem Quartet and violinist Elena Urioste will play prominent roles in each performance.
